For decades my medium of choice had been pastels, graphite and oils. I studied at the School of Visual Arts and worked as a freelance illustrator while experimenting with different mediums throughout the years.
In 2015, Lois Dubin, the author of History of Beads introduced me to the magic of flame working. I began taking classes with some of the most talented artists in the field to date. I love painting with glass and appreciate all the guidance I have been given over the years.
My flame working studio is located in the Delaware Water Gap area of Pennsylvania . It is a nice contrast to where I live in NYC . There I can meditate over the flame while I melt glass rods into beads. I work with soft C104 glass which gets annealed in a kiln for durability, which eventually will be made into one of a kind pieces of jewelry.
My beads have been used in necklaces created by Lois Dubin, “Queen Bead”. They have been sold at Koos and Company in NYC and also at Long Ago and Far Away located in Vermont.
I’ve participated in trunk shows, fashion shows and pop ups with 9 other female artists as part of the Women’s Design Network.
I also create original works on a by-commission basis. To inquire, please fill out the contact form.
